We have had another lovely week in the forest. All the children have been delighted by our sensory activities as we explore the smells and textures of herbs such as mint and rosemary. Crowns were formed and worn as they played in the forest, scented herbal necklaces that looked like mini bouquet garnis were carefully created and worn throughout the day.
Twickenham - A Zoo Themed Week!
Wow what an amazing week we have had in the forest! This week has been zoo themed, with the children learning about where animals live and what they like to eat. The Little Forest Folk-ers turned themselves into cheeky monkeys, swinging from the trees, scary tigers prowling the forest floor, and even snapping crocodiles ‘swimming’ in the rivers below.
Wandsworth - Paper Pizzas
A stupendously fun week in the great outdoors! Many of the children have been baking and making paper pizzas. There were some very colourful pizzas, with a great profusion of toppings; cheese, pepper, pepperoni! Bon appétit! The children also took to another bear hunt with great enthusiasm. Running from the roars and giggling at the growls.
Wimbledon - Hapa Zome and Pizza Shops
Chiswick - A Poorly Dragon & An Ice Cream Factory!
What a fantastic week it has been in our enchanting forest! We kicked things off with our delightful Stay and Play sessions, where we had the pleasure of welcoming you into our magical world. It was a joy to see the children's faces light up as they shared special moments with you amidst the trees and laughter.
Fulham - A Diving Board & Snail Hunts!
Another most awesome week has come to a close in the Fulham forest. We started off the week by creating a great structure that the children (with assistance) could practise their jumping skills on, jumping from what could only be described as a diving board, of course having some safety talks beforehand, to make sure we all knew how to do this safely.
Morden - Seeds, Scissors & Cinnamon!
Putney Heath - Bug Hunting
We have had a wonderful week in the forest. Our Little Forest Folk-ers have revelled in bug hunting! Everyone has spent time carefully rolling logs over and identifying slugs, wood lice, spiders and bright green crickets. We’ve searched under leaves for insect eggs and found ladybird larvae and spiderlings.
Twickenham - Sensory Week
This week we’ve had lots of sensory fun! Our week started with a sensory walkway where our little adventurers were encouraged to take off their shoes and step into boxes containing a whole host of wonderful textures: leaves, water and sand to name a few. They loved kicking off their wellies and feeling the sand between their toes.
Wandsworth - An Arrow Hunt!
Wimbledon - Hairdressers, Doctors and Dentists
Chiswick - Exploring Space!
Fulham - A Unicorn called Flossy!
Morden - A Professional Race!
Putney Heath - An Adventure to the Pond!
Twickenham - Celebrating Superheroes!
Wandsworth - Adventure Walks & Playing with Rocks!
We had a wonderfully sunny start this week at Paradise. Collectively, the children love climbing in the trees, grasping and stepping between the branches. Some pretending to be monkeys, with others being sloths. There's never a dull moment. At the crafts table, our educators Maria and Kate busily helped many of the children to make some exquisite fox masks. The children were only too happy to get involved with the scissors and glue!
