e began the week by making the most of the lovely sunny weather with a trip to the playground. The children were full of energy as they explored climbing frames and practised their balancing skills. There was lots of imaginative play too - especially in the sandpit and on the pirate ship, where stories and adventures came to life through teamwork and creativity.

The children enjoyed an exciting nature walk to the pond, where we went to visit the ducks and geese. During our walk, we talked about how to tell the difference between male and female ducks, observing lots of interesting wildlife.

The children noticed blossoming flowers, sprouting trees and different birds flying around the forest. We talked about how birds live in nests and then went on a little search around the forest to see if we could find some. It was wonderful to see the children learning more about the nature around them.

What a fun and uplifting week it has been in the forest! With spring feeling just around the corner, we’ve been soaking up the sunshine and enjoying spending more time exploring the gardens.

We’ve had another fantastic week in the forest, filled with meaningful moments, active play, and wonderful opportunities to learn about ourselves and the world around us.

The rain this week has brought us lots of mud and puddles but also loads of fun!With the weather getting a little bit warmer we have been spotting signs of spring all throughout Chiswick Palace grounds.

What a joyful and adventurous time we’ve had together in the forest this week! We were immersed in play, exploration and discovery, making the most of every moment outdoors.

This week has been full of meaningful play, rich learning experiences, and lots of imagination as the children explored themes of caring, nature and storytelling. Through role play, sensory activities and outdoor exploration, our Little Forest Folk-ers have been developing their confidence, creativity and social skills.

What a wonderfully rich and muddy week we have had in the forest! Despite the long-lasting rain, the children showed fantastic resilience, curiosity and joy as they immersed themselves in music, stories, drama and outdoor exploration.

Despite the cold weather at the start of the week, the children remained enthusiastic and engaged, enjoying a wide range of activities both indoors and outdoors.

Thank you so much to everyone who was able to join us for our Christmas party last week. We had such a wonderful time celebrating together and it was truly special to share the festive joy with our forest families. For those who couldn’t attend, don’t worry - all gifts and creations have been carefully saved and we’ll make sure they are handed out as soon as we see you after the holidays.

We’ve had a wonderfully festive few weeks at Little Forest Folk Chiswick, filled with music, creativity and lots of Christmas cheer. Here’s a little look at what the children have been enjoying as we head towards the holidays.

It has been a wonderful first week of December filled with entertainment and learning. We are so proud of the children for expressing their creativity and curiosity whilst embracing their environment.

We started the week by reading stories. Goldilocks and the Three Bears as well as We’re Going on a Bear Hunt. This led us into our drama session which took place on an adventure walk. We also went on an actual bear hunt during an adventure walk where a teddy was hiding in the forest and we had to then go find them!

Despite the chilly air settling around us today, the children embraced the outdoors with enthusiasm and warmth, filling the forest with creativity, laughter and energetic play.

On Monday we began with puddles and raindrops, but that didn’t stop our fun one bit! The children embraced the rainy weather with big smiles, splashing through puddles and keeping warm under the tarps.

This week, we have been exploring Bonfire Night in all its sparkly glory. Our Little Forest Folk-ers learned about the history of the event, why bonfires are celebrated and most importantly how to stay safe while enjoying the fireworks.

he rainy days have arrived, but that didn’t stop our Little Forest Folk-ers from having a wonderful week full of creativity, exploration and adventure! The children embraced the wet weather with smiles and excitement, turning every puddle and raindrop into part of the fun.

Our little adventurers celebrated Diwali by making small candles out of clay. They shaped the clay and decorated them with colourful leaves that they picked from the forest floor.
