Dates for the diary
There are three terms in a year:
Autumn term - September to December
Spring term - January to April
Summer term - April to July
We offer two main session types as listed below and we have split our important date information accordingly:
Full Days run All Year Round and children attend 51 weeks of the year (excl. 1 week at Christmas, Bank Holidays and Little Forest Folk Inset days).
Sessional days are Term-Time Only and do not include school holidays (and children also do not attend on Bank Holidays and Little Forest Folk Inset days).
We offer Holiday Camps during the school holidays for additional childcare and more information on these can be found here. Holiday Camps are open to all but availability is limited and advance booking is required.

Bank Holidays and Inset Days
All nurseries will be closed during Inset Days and Bank Holidays and there will be no children attending on these days.
Our Inset days are valuable time used for staff training which we try to make sure is on a different day of the week each time to be as fair as possible to all families.
Stay and Play Weeks and Parent's Evenings
We run Stay and Play weeks during Summer Term which provide an opportunity for parents to join their children in the forest for a couple of hours on a particular day. Our Parent's Evenings are organised in the evening at the end of each term for parents to attend a 10 minute slot with their child's key worker. These evenings are also a fantastic opportunity to spend some time getting to know other parents from the nursery. Invitations to these will be sent to parents by our Nursery Managers four weeks prior to the event. Our Stay and Play weeks and Parent's Evening dates are for our enrolled families only.
