This week has been full of hands-on exploration, creativity, and role play as we continue to strengthen our fine motor skills and learn more about the world around us!
We've been focusing on using scissors with care and precision, creating beautiful nature collages while improving our grip and control. Our clay gym sessions have been a fantastic way to build strength in our hands and fingers—rolling, squishing, and squeezing clay has not only been fun but also helped us develop the muscles we need for writing and crafting.
Our curiosity about the weather led to some fascinating discoveries! We explored how clouds and thunderstorms form and created fluffy cotton-ball cloud collages. Our weather observation station was bustling with excitement as we gazed up at the sky, using different materials to make sky-inspired collages. On sunny days, we ventured to picnic land, where we could continue observing the clouds and enjoying the fresh air.
In role play, our little gardeners got to work, pretending to plant trees just like we did during our sessions with the gardener. This hands-on play helped us remember how important trees are and how we can care for nature.
To end the week with some excitement, we transformed our camp into a busy hospital! The children learned how to call 999 in an emergency, and our little doctors and paramedics worked hard to rescue teddies in need of care. From treating injuries to making sure everyone was safe; our mini medical team did a fantastic job looking after their forest patients!
What a wonderful week of learning, creativity, and adventure!
