Another fantastic week here at Putney Heath. The children have enjoyed some fantastic activities and adventures and we cannot wait to share them with you.
At the beginning of the week, we embarked on a very exciting adventure to the big pond. We packed up our trolly, food, and essentials and set off in the morning for our long walk to the pond. The children used their strong legs to march along the muddy paths and run through the echoey tunnel. Everyone also showed great safety awareness as we walked close to a busy road very carefully. Once we arrived at the pond, our little explorers enjoyed watching the ducks and baby goslings swim gracefully in the water and they also helped to clean up the pond area using our litter pickers. We enjoyed a day behind the pond in our magical forest exploring the wonders of a new camp.
The children have also enjoyed clay sculpting this week, using their fine motor skills to manipulate and mould the clay into an array of different shapes and objects. We had snakes, worms, snails, swords and fruit bowls. We certainly have some very creative little ones here at Putney Heath and using clay is definitely a great way for them to display this.
We have also said some goodbyes to some of our older children this week who had their last day in the forest. We enjoyed celebrating their time here in the forest and we wish them all the best with their next adventures at big school. As well as this, we have said our goodbyes to the wonderful Selina and Anna who have also shared their last day in the forest. We thank them for all the hard work they have done over the years and wish them both the very best in the future!
Have a restful weekend everyone and we will see you all next week for more adventures :)
