What an incredible week it has been in our little forest haven! Our curious minds have been engaged in a variety of exciting activities, embracing both learning and play.
On Monday, we dove into the world of phonics and letters, enthusiastically practising our writing skills by confidently drawing and writing our own names on pictures as independently as possible. We have really enjoyed creating collaboratively small worlds using sticky building blocks, with our favourite being the farm, where each of us engaged in pretend play using small people and animal figurines.
This week was an out-of-this-world adventure as we explored the wonders of space! We delved into space encyclopaedias, marvelling at the beauty and vastness of the universe. Inspired by what we learned, we took on the role of little astronauts and created our own planets using cardboard and marbling paint. The vibrant colours swirled together, resulting in unique and mesmerising celestial creations. We marvelled at our planets, imagining the cosmic journeys they could take us on.
Additionally, we delved into the realm of emotions and facial expressions, learning how to draw faces expressing different emotions. Our fine motor skills were put to the test as we learned to make friendship bracelets using colourful paracord.
The refreshing rain towards the end of the week brought exciting muddy puddles that we couldn't resist!
As we look ahead, we are eagerly anticipating our upcoming Stay and Play sessions next week. We can't wait to share our fun-filled days with the families of our little explorers.
Thank you for being a part of our forest family and for entrusting us with the care and education of your little ones. We are excited to create lasting memories together!
