Lots of interesting play in the Modern Forest this week!

Happy Holiday Camp week!! Here in the Morden forest, we’ve been so happy to welcome our holiday campers, new friends and old friends to play, explore, and learn new skills!

Our Morden forest has been focusing on Communication and Language for the past 2 weeks – our Little Forest Folk-ers have had some great set up areas and activities with the intention of using their wonderful blossoming language skills! We’ve seen this lots in our small world areas - where children are able to use their imagination to take on the role of the creatures, explaining what is going on in their story, and suggesting ideas to their friends as they play!

Here at Little Forest Folk Morden, we’ve been celebrating the first week of February by noticing the signs of spring popping up! We do love our muddy forest, but it’s a wonderful celebration for everyone to see the first pops of colour in our space!

The weather has brought a whole variety of surprises this week, but it hasn’t stopped us having lots of forest fun!

We’ve had a brilliant week in our Morden forest filled with exploring, building and splashing in the mud!! 

This week has been so fun! We’ve enjoyed the milder weather and the chance to welcome some new children and parents into our forest. It has been great showing them the space and introducing them to the team and our little adventurers!

Our first full week back in the forest! The air was frosty, the ground was “icy & crunchy” & the children were bundled up all warm in fluffy scarves, hats and gloves.

We’ve had creativity pouring out of everyone this week in our Morden forest!

December is well and truly here and at Little Forest Folk Morden we have busted out the Festive songs and stories to much fanfare and excitement! We started off the week with Stickman, building on our literacy focus to learn and repeat phrases from stories.
