Our creative learners at Little Forest Folk Morden have been so busy this week!
With some new painting and crafting resources, the children were encouraged by the educators to experiment with soft and hard brush strokes, experimenting with their fine motor skills to see the variation in size of the shapes they were making. We’ve been loving to add stories and characters to the pictures we paint as well, developing so many parts of our brains and imaginations!
Small world play has been a big favourite this week too! The children are copying the set up styles of the teachers by collecting natural resources and adding them to their dino enclosures. We have been learning words like ‘herbivore’ and ‘carnivore’ while building the dinosaurs stories too!
Last but not least - we had World Book Day on Thursday! The children celebrated with some amazing outfits of their favourite book characters, and we had so many wonderful reading sessions through the day to appreciate all the wonderful stories we get to share. How lucky we are!
