Morden - 'Spring Window' Making!

Springtime is really blooming this week!! All the colour and sunshine has been encouraging some amazing collaborative play between our Little Forest Folk-ers!

Our children got stuck in with some flower decorations around our forest with educator Connie! We used our maths skills to count how many flowers to put on the string, and our delicate hands to thread the flowers on, making sure to use the threading materials safely to ensure each flower was securely attached. They looked so beautiful! We hung them around the forest, tied them to our hats, and shared them with our friends!

Another great activity we enjoyed involved using flowers for some ‘spring window’ making! Our brilliant educator Kitz loves to lead this activity each spring, celebrating the changing of the season and showing off all the beautiful colour we have in our play space! The children carefully chose which flowers they preferred, and how they should be positioned. With some decorations around the cardboard frame, they were ready to take home!

Our Little Forest Folk-ers also got really involved with some whittling! As our children are so brilliant at following the safety rules when we use tools, they were teaching each other how to keep safe as new children joined the area to watch. Everyone showed great focus, strength and pride in their work! This is a skill we haven’t done much of recently and we’re really excited to practice some more!
