Putney Heath - Climbing, Swinging & the Slack Line

We have had another lovely week in the forest.

All the children have been delighted by our sensory activities as we explore the smells and textures of herbs such as mint and rosemary. Crowns were formed and worn as they played in the forest, scented herbal necklaces that looked like mini bouquet garnis were carefully created and worn throughout the day.

We have strengthened our muscles, tested our sense of balance and challenged our bodies while climbing trees, traversing the slack line and swinging on our swing, which we hang each day.

The teddy bears in the woods this week came out to see the doctors at the hospital before heading off for a picnic with their mummies and daddies. Our marvellous doctors and nurses showed great care to each stuffed toy.

The imagination of our Little Forest Folk-ers amidst their natural setting is always a delight to observe as jails were created with masking tape, hammocks for hedgehogs were crafted between trees and volcano scientists dealt with potential eruptions from a dip in the ground.

Thank you all for coming to the forest. See you all next week!
