We’ve been bursting with excitement and now that it’s the Queen’s birthday and the official announcement day, we are absolutely delighted to finally share with you the news that Little Forest Folk has been given the royal seal of approval.
Following our being selected by Tatler as being one of the finest nurseries in the nation last month, we are now delighted to share with you an article written about Little Forest Folk by a journalist who visited us in our Wimbledon setting a few weeks ago.
Well, this weekend was the long awaited Nursery World Awards! It was a fabulous event and we were delighted to be recognised in such a large industry such as the early years to be one of the industry leaders.
‘Wouldn’t we all secretly like to be Little Forest Folk?' We are incredibly excited and proud to be included once again in the prestigious annual Tatler Nurseries Guide.
The week began with wind-fall apples galore, brought in by Dan on the way in to work. After a little bit of explaining that these were for playing with rather than eating, the fruit was being used in numerous games and activities around the field.
Our lovely Little Forest Folk-ers have had an exceptional week this week and it has been so fabulous to see all our new starters settled in their new environment.
This week we began our new adventure on Monkey Camp where the children have enjoyed exploring new areas of the forest and engaging in different activities.
As the season visibly changes, a raft of new things to play with pepper the floor around us. Sweet chestnut husks wrapped over pinecones make rather authentic looking hedgehogs, and this week we made many snug homes for these cute critters.
Wow what another fantastic week we’ve had here at Putney Heath. We’ve had lots of exciting activities to engage in and a few more new faces to welcome too.
Foggy mornings, sprouting mushrooms, and leaves turning yellow – we are embracing these changes in our forest with open arms as we welcome the autumn season!
The swings at both the forest and the field always prove to be a big hit and at the start of the week, educators adjusted the set up so that we could have two log swings instead of one tyre swing.
Wimbledon has been busy this week with lots of fun and exciting activities happening each day. Autumn has started to show in many different ways around the forest and this has led to lots of exploring and discovering new things around our site.
We’ve had a pretty short week starting with a big moment in history commemorating the Queen on Monday, alongside our inset day on Wednesday. Even though we have had a three-day week, we’ve still managed to encounter a lot of adventures.
A short but sweet week this week as we said our final farewells to our beloved Queen on Monday. On behalf of everyone here at Little Forest Folk Fulham, we send our well wishes to the Royal Family and all those mourning the loss of an icon.
