Chiswick - fluffy water duckies

We’ve had a pretty short week starting with a big moment in history commemorating the Queen on Monday, alongside our inset day on Wednesday. Even though we have had a three-day week, we’ve still managed to encounter a lot of adventures.

The weather has been so sweet to us that we’ve managed to have picnics near the lake, quietly watching the fluffy water duckies and having discussions about them.

Popsicle sticks, paper and googly eyes turned into animals, little foxes appeared, as well as beastly lions. The children chose the shapes and even recognised what shapes they were working with such as squares and triangles.

Our toy cars have been very popular, we had racecourses with ramps and speed bumps, and we even raced in the ultimate Grandpre.

We’ve been cake connoisseurs this week, making, planning, and ordering ingredients on the phone…some were even sneakily ordering poison!

We had some sensory play with rice, scooping it with their hands, and using pincers to pick up what they could find including cups and paper.

Sat upon our tree stump we shared tales; we gathered eagerly listening to find out if mum was going to eat her Brussels sprouts or not!

Wishing you a wonderfully wild weekend!
