When we arrived on camp on Monday we were confused and excited to see some pirates had docked their ship and set up camp in our forest! 🏴☠️
Morden - A Week of Stories and Tool Work
We’ve had another lovely week in the forest. The weather has still provided sun which has encouraged some harvesting of our vegetable patch, including potatoes and tomatoes! The wind did cause us to seek refuge indoors but we took full advantage of this, playing games such as “Sleepy bunnies” and “Animal freeze” as well as practicing our mark making and construction.
Putney Heath - Tiny Eco Warriors!
Twickenham - Wiggly, Jiggly, Hopping and Zooming Week!
It’s been a blustery week in the forest with the wind coming to play and the rain coming to cool the forest and children after our very hot weather last week. Nevertheless, we had a wonderful time exploring how our amazing bodies move. We noticed how much more we can do from when we were babies. From crawling, to sitting up, to learning to walk, we realised how much stronger and faster we are getting as we grow.
Wandsworth - Wandsworth Café
Wimbledon - Autumnal Adventure!
Chiswick - Forest Family!
Greetings dear families, Another enchanting week has unfolded at Little Forest Folk Chiswick, filled with the laughter and wonder of our young explorers. As we settle into the rhythm of the new term, we're delighted to see our new friends finding their place in our forest family. The bonds of friendship are beginning to bloom, and we eagerly anticipate the deep connections that will form in the coming weeks.
Fulham - Making Sticky Nature Frames!
Morden - Welcome Party Time!
Putney Heath - 'The Forest is Alive With the Sound of Music!'
The forest is alive with the sound of music…Putney Heath was filled with sounds of laughter and song this week as the children dressed as rock stars from head to toe. Geared with microphones, guitars and drumsticks, they created their own beats and requested their favourite tunes to play on the speaker.
Twickenham - Adventures in the Forest!
What another fantastic week we had in the Twickenham forest. Our new Little Forest Folk-ers are continuing to settle splendidly by taking on the challenge of learning to take care of themselves. With a lot of guidance, support and encouragement from their educators, the children have been steadily practising getting dressed on their own by finding their own way of putting their shoes on and persevering when finding it a little tricky.
Wandsworth - Hide & Seek
Wimbledon - A Week of Colour!
Chiswick - The Chiswick Farm
Our sweltering week was filled with creativity, smiles and fun! The mud kitchen was the focus of the week where our explorers created an ice cream shop and some chocolate broccoli to serve at their cafe. We also explored what we could cook up from 'The Gruffalo', some scrambled snake and owl ice cream!
Fulham - 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt'
We started off the beginning of the week here in the Fulham Forest making use out of our milk bottles that we had collected. We went on an amazing scavenger hunt around the palace. The children were encouraged to search and collect various natural objects that they could find and put them into their bottles. This activity was great opening up many conversations with the children about the things they had found.
