We started off the beginning of the week here in the Fulham Forest making use out of our milk bottles that we had collected. We went on an amazing scavenger hunt around the palace. The children were encouraged to search and collect various natural objects that they could find and put them into their bottles. This activity was great opening up many conversations with the children about the things they had found.
Our new wooden puzzles have been a favourite this week and the children have really enjoyed attempting to complete them independently.
We carried out an amazing focused activity this week acting out the story 'We’re Going on a Bear Hunt'. This activity was amazing and the children really enjoyed the little elements of the story where they got to take their shoes off and walk through the mud, grass, river, forest, through the snow storm and get to the cave at the end where they were greeted by the bear 🐻.
As this week In the forest has been incredibly hot we have been doing lots of great activities to stay cool. The ice tray was a great way for the children to do this and learn a little bit about the science behind it as they got to see the ice slowly melt. As a frozen treat this week our children really enjoyed munching on some frozen watermelon. This was a great way to cool the children down on those warm days and a delicious treat for them to enjoy.
Our sunny week in the forest has been awesome and we are excited to see the adventures that will happen next week in our Fulham Forest!
