We have now completed another full week at Wimbledon Common and once again, the children have played with great curiosity and fun! We have had a good assortment of games and stories for them to enjoy at their leisure.
It was terrific having the children so engaged with a host of stories this week; Jack and the Beanstalk; Where is the Green Sheep?; And Pig Hide and Seek! Our Little Forest Folk-ers took it in turns to turn the pages and would frequently ask questions about what was going to happen next!
There was a big bustle for the café that some of the children were playing at this week, with ice cream and pasta being the most popular choices from the menu! Some of the children got to work with their saucepans and spades and there were chefs and waiters working to cook the food and bring it out. Dinner was served!
We have had a couple of days making use of our wonderful new indoor space thanks to the high winds and the children took advantage of this and played with an array of toys. Our educator, Dan, brought out the salt and flour to make play dough for the children to play with and shape. Cars zoomed on the mats. The teddies came out to play. There was some super teamwork to get the jigsaw complete too!
Through some typical Autumnal weather, we have managed to come out on top and have another successful week. It has been a great joy to all of us to facilitate so many happy games for the children, have a great weekend, everyone!
