When we arrived on camp on Monday we were confused and excited to see some pirates had docked their ship and set up camp in our forest! 🏴☠️
This inspired us to head over to the creative area and make some cool pirate hats. Once we had these on, everyone had a wonderful time role playing aboard the ship, making some amazing pirate sounds and pretending to be Fulham pirates!
Following the children’s interest this week relating to Pokémon, our little trainers have been teaching all the educators about the different types of Pokémon and what they do. This then filtered nicely into some great free choice craft where they enjoyed designing their own Pokémon balls and drawing all the different types of Pokémon.
We also had a lot of fun playing with some small world sea creatures, the children have loved learning lots of new little facts about the animals from the educators and witnessing them using them in their role play was great!
The magnificent volcano science experiment that we all love and enjoy here in the Fulham forest was another highlight this week. Our little scientists all took part in pouring and mixing the bicarbonate of soda and vinegar together to create the awesome reaction and watched in excitement as the volcano erupted with a rainbow of colours.
We are super excited to see what learning opportunities and adventures we get up to next here in the Fulham forest.
