Wandsworth - Hide & Seek

It's full time and full steam ahead at our new spot on Wimbledon Common now. The newest intake of Little Forest Folk-ers are settling in wonderfully. They've had a very warm reception from some of our older children and it's been a great joy to see them all mingle and play.

We have had a great number of games and activities throughout the week. A few of the children have armed themselves with spades and gone digging through the dirt on a quest for worms. With patience and determination, by the end they had a bowl of no fewer than ten worms. Well done, everyone! We have also enjoyed reading some of the newer books in our collection and everyone has been deeply captivated by our newer tales of dragons and sheep!

Our little explorers have utilised the newly constructed den in a number of highly creative ways. Sometimes it has been a simple kitchen and on other occasions it has been a sturdy sanctuary for three little pigs, on the run from the Big Bad Wolf. The children also had a spectacular game of 'Hide & Seek’, they took turns like true professionals, with true kindness. They had enormous fun hiding behind trees and branches.

It's been an unbridled week of fun for the children and we're delighted at the abundance of smiles and games we've been able to enjoy! We'll make sure that next week is a worthy successor. Until then, have a great weekend, everyone!
