This week has been a fabulous week in the Fulham Forest. We started off the week by bringing our amazing dress up costumes into the forest. It was so much fun getting into character and becoming animals such as parrots and butterflies and using this to further our role-playing games.
Morden - A Physical Week in the Forest
Putney Heath - A Visit to Roly Poly Hill
Twickenham - Thick oozy mud!
Wandsworth - Mud & Clay Adventures
Wimbledon - Muddy, splashy adventure walks
The rain has well and truly come to say hello this week in the Wimbledon forest. This only means one thing for our little ones - more puddles! The excitement when we find a new puddle is amazing, the Little Forest Folk-ers do an incredible job of turn-taking for splashing and seeing who can get the most water up in the air.
Chiswick - Fireworks, Frames, and of course, puddles!
Fulham - Climbing Skills
Morden - Rainy Days & Sunny Days
Putney Heath - Building Obstacle Courses & Social Skills
This week in the forest we had a lot of fun with all the new mud. Obstacle courses were a big favourite this week, and the children especially enjoyed forming a queue and walking along the planks in single file. The mud made this a real challenge, but everyone showed great resilience and perseverance.
Twickenham - Muddy Puddles & Rainbows
Wandsworth - Pasta, String & Clay
Wimbledon - Music Mania and Puddle Jumping
Chiswick - A Splishy Splashy Week
What a splishy splashy week we’ve had! Stomping in big muddy puddles and soaking in the fresh scents of the leaves. We kicked off our week with some spooky Halloween fun, crafting paper pumpkins out of cardboard and tissue paper. Around the log circle we talked about what scary costumes we would be wearing that night for trick or treating.
Fulham - Halloween Party & Wriggly Worms
Morden - Face Painting & Fireworks!
Putney Heath - Magnificent Mushrooms and Dazzling Dinosaur Adventures!
The Little Forest Folk-ers of Putney Heath have been very busy this week. After some rainy days the children have loved having an unlimited supply of mud for their mud kitchen, this week's favourite recipes were a variety of hot chocolates. They have also loved finding big puddles and seeing who could make the most splashes when running through them.
Twickenham - Firework Paintings, Stick Houses & Muddy Puddles
What a fun week we have had in the forest! It was lovely to have all of our sessional day children back with us this week, and we have been super busy with all sorts of Autumn activities. We have been making firework paintings using toilet roll tubes and all sorts of colours of paint. It has been great seeing our adventurers creative sides come out and have lots of fun making their creations!
