Morden - Face Painting & Fireworks!

Hello everybody!

This week has been super fun with Halloween on Monday! Some of the adventurers came in with costumes and others chose from a selection of fancy dress in the forest! Nasila led face painting which resulted in a few lizards, dinosaurs and even a flamingo! ‘Flamingos are pink and stand on one leg!’ 🦩

We have built firework rockets and talked about Guy Fawkes night approaching this weekend! We all enjoyed reading a poem which gave us the opportunity to use lots of different firework sounds which was exciting! ‘Whizz, pop, crackle, fizz!’ ‘BLAST OFF, Bang!’ This has been a good introduction to talk about fire safety and how we can enjoy fireworks events safely, as well as understanding the world and some of our history here in London!

We have also enjoyed getting creative and mixing lots of different colours to create firework paintings! ‘Yellow and red make orange!’

Many of the children filled pots with soil and then carefully planted their cress seeds. We are now all on the lookout for any signs of growth!

Enjoy your weekend and we will see you next week!
