Magnificent Mushrooms and Dazzling Dinosaur Adventures!
The Little Forest Folk-ers of Putney Heath have been very busy this week. After some rainy days the children have loved having an unlimited supply of mud for their mud kitchen, this week's favourite recipes were a variety of hot chocolates. They have also loved finding big puddles and seeing who could make the most splashes when running through them.
On our adventure day the children showed off their strong legs walking first to the Roly Poly Hill and then later to a new, never explored, area of the Heath. On our adventures they have loved discovering many different mushrooms and fungi. The children were amazed to find very big mushrooms as well as spotting teeny tiny ones hiding in the moss growing on a tree.
The days spent on camp went past very quickly with some awesome firework paintings made with conkers, a fun pumpkin aiming game that later was turned into marvellous masks used for a pumpkin family role play and Andy's magic clock helped the children to travel back in time to visit the dinosaurs. Luckily the children made some gizmos, which is a fantastic device that can be used to become invisible when coming close to fearsome dinosaurs.
What a fun week of discovery and creativity, we can’t wait to see you all again next week!
