Twickenham - Firework Paintings, Stick Houses & Muddy Puddles

What a fun week we have had in the forest! It was lovely to have all of our sessional day children back with us this week, and we have been super busy with all sorts of Autumn activities.

We have been making firework paintings using toilet roll tubes and all sorts of colours of paint. It has been great seeing our adventurers creative sides come out and have lots of fun making their creations!

The children have also been making a life-size stick house with one of the educators. They have been using their fine motor skills to weave the sticks in and out and everyone has had great fun building it higher and higher and then using colourful wool to tie it all together. It has been so much fun seeing it grow each day and we can’t wait to see all sorts of role plays that it inspires when finished!

Another fun activity that’s been popular this week is making bridges over the muddy puddles using planks, pallets, and crates. The children have been brilliant at working together, and with our educators, to carefully place their bridges, and then demonstrating their ever-developing gross motor skills to cross to safety!

We hope you all have a lovely weekend and can’t wait to have lots more fun with you all next week!
