Morden - A Physical Week in the Forest

We’ve had a physical week this week in the forest 🌳 The children have enjoyed making lots of different obstacle courses from wood, tyres and blocks, and have shown excellent team building skills to put their ideas into action! We have also had a lot of fun on the new tree swing! Adventurers have loved taking turns using a timer and watching the countdown .. ‘3, 2, 1 - someone else’s turn now!’

There’s been a lot of action in the mud kitchen where the new tools have been put to good use; digging, mashing and stirring! Making soups and pies when playing ‘mummy’s and babies.’ ‘When I put soup in the oven it comes out healthy for baby.’ This led into a conversation about healthy foods, fruits and vegetables that we like and know of. ‘Broccoli mini trees and spinach plant leaves.’

It has also been road safety week! We have made the cars zebra crossings using flour and talked about and acted out how we can stay safe on the road!

We’re finishing off the week with some balloon painting and handprint trees which we will decorate next week! Is it too early for Christmas activities and songs? 🎄
