Chiswick - A Splishy Splashy Week

What a splishy splashy week we’ve had! Stomping in big muddy puddles and soaking in the fresh scents of the leaves

We kicked off our week with some spooky Halloween fun, crafting paper pumpkins out of cardboard and tissue paper. Around the log circle we talked about what scary costumes we would be wearing that night for trick or treating.

Our creative juices continued to flow on Tuesday, as we weaved some colourful ribbons and tissue paper together to make bright, textured works of art! This activity really put our fine motor skills to work - and was great fun too!

As the rain fell on the forest, we took the opportunity to make some mini rafts to test on the giant puddles! We used string to bind sticks together and then set sail!

To end our week, we had a Masterclass from JayJay on how to make beautiful wreaths from yew tree branches… now that spooky season is coming to an end, bring on Christmas!

Joke of the week:
Why do you need to be careful when it's raining cats and dogs outside?
Because you might step in a poodle!
