We’ve been bursting with excitement and now that it’s the Queen’s birthday and the official announcement day, we are absolutely delighted to finally share with you the news that Little Forest Folk has been given the royal seal of approval.
Following our being selected by Tatler as being one of the finest nurseries in the nation last month, we are now delighted to share with you an article written about Little Forest Folk by a journalist who visited us in our Wimbledon setting a few weeks ago.
Well, this weekend was the long awaited Nursery World Awards! It was a fabulous event and we were delighted to be recognised in such a large industry such as the early years to be one of the industry leaders.
‘Wouldn’t we all secretly like to be Little Forest Folk?' We are incredibly excited and proud to be included once again in the prestigious annual Tatler Nurseries Guide.
What a week to be in the forest! With parents visiting us for stay and play to the weather not making its mind up, it’s been a busy one. This week we opened our very own spa, practiced our nail painting skills, and made wonderful clay masks.
This week the children have been involved in a variety of creative activities. Mark making has been especially popular with the children designing their own boots and drawing adventures like foxes searching for sausages.
It has been an absolutely fantastic week here at Putney Heath, filled with excitement, activities and lots of fun. We have had the pleasure of welcoming some of our parents into the forest this week and the children have enjoyed showing them around and involving them in our wonderful activities.
I am writing after another successful week of ‘stay and play’ at Twickenham LFF. It has been such a pleasure to finally allow you all on site to experience what our Little Forest Folk-ers do every day.
The children had a visit from an old favourite, the Mad Scientist, who had some wonderful citrus fruit volcano experiments for them. He also made some fun tea bag rockets - who wouldn’t want to be a part of that?!
We’ve had such a delightful week in the forest. Chasing the sprinklers has become a regular hobby for us when it’s really sunny and we want to keep cool.
We have had an action packed week here at Putney Heath, full of amazing moments and memories. As the Glastonbury music festival has been taking place this week, we decided to bring the festival to the forest!
This week, we had a lot of creatives showing their pure talent. We used different kinds of medium to incorporate natural resources we have in the forest, this included; leaf rubbing using crayons, chalk on tree bark and logs and sparkly watercolour paint in recycled boxes.
We’ve gone creative crazy here at Chiswick this week, our adventurers have been making dot to dots and counting, getting messy with patterned paint rollers, and using glue and brightly coloured sequins to make Father’s Day cards.
We had such a fun week in the forest chasing sprinklers in the walled garden and visiting the water tap to play ‘What’s the time Mr Wolf?’ to stay cool!
We have had an amazing week, soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the warmth. We have engaged in lots of different activities and adventures and have had lots of fun.
This week has been a special one at Twickenham LFF. Since being at the site we have often glimpsed over the high brick wall and wondered what the buzz was about.
