Twickenham - aromatic playdough

Hello everyone

I am writing after another successful week of ‘stay and play’ at Twickenham LFF. It has been such a pleasure to finally allow you all on site to experience what our Little Forest Folk-ers do every day. Your engagement with the children has made for lovely mornings. A very special shout out to the two parents who chose to spend their birthday morning with us. I hope you enjoyed being serenaded by our wonderful forest choir! Hopefully you all went away with interesting ideas of the types of simple activities that you can do with children that can keep them engaged for hours. Miranda’s aromatic playdough was a big hit, using some freshly chopped rosemary from her own garden! I wonder what herbs she will use next thyme. Another simple recipe for fun involved mixing cornflour with water to create a gloopy texture called ‘oobleck’ which provided a wonderful sensory experience. The group loved watching the slimy substance ooze down their hands, forming puddles in the tuff tray.

Have a lovely weekend!
