We’ve had a wonderfully busy week, filled with as many diverse activities as the changing weather!
Fulham - Physical Development & Expressive Art and Design!
Morden - Personal, Social and Emotional Development!
Putney Heath - Money, Money, Money!
Twickenham - "Cave Baby"!
The Very Hungry Caterpillar came to the forest this week as we read the story by Eric Carle and talked about the life cycle of the butterfly. One of our super educators created an amazing caterpillar head with cardboard and paint and provided a variety of fruit which we then enjoyed feeding to the caterpillar head through his large round mouth. Naming of the fruit in turn led to discussions around good food for caterpillars and children to help them all grow and be healthy.
Wimbledon Village - Beautiful Blooming Daffodils!
Wimbledon - Native Wildflowers!
Winkworth - Recycle & Reuse!
Chiswick - Pancakes & Paper Sunshines!
What an amazing week we've had in the forest, blessed with sunshine! It was a wonderful opportunity to follow up on our weather topic from last week. We've been venturing out onto the field, feeling the sunshine on our skin, and discussing how it makes us feel and why it's so important for us and nature.
Fulham - Pancake Day & Birdhouse Making
Morden - Painting & Crafting and World Book Day
Putney Heath - Exploring the World of Money
What a fantastic week it has been in our forest nursery! Our Little Forest Folk-ers have been busy learning, creating, and celebrating together. From diving into the world of money to flipping pancakes over the fire and dressing up as their favourite book characters, there has been no shortage of adventure!
Twickenham - Pancakes and Prose
Wimbledon Village - Water Play & Exploring Gravity!
Wimbledon - Pancake day, Carnival and World Book Day
Winkworth - Cupcakes & Pancakes!
Chiswick - Rolling, Squishing and Squeezing!
Fulham - Fancy a Trip to the Bug Hotel?
This week we went bug-crazy and displayed our love for the creatures around us by creating homes for our creepy crawly friends. Using recycled cardboard materials, we chose a box that we thought would be perfect for such a creation. The space was divided into rooms and we discussed how we could make them cozy enough to live in!
