A landmark event happened this week at Morden. On Tuesday it was our first day of continual rain since opening. With a dozen or so new settlers, some may have feared such an event, but our already hardy and outdoorsy Forest Folk rose to the challenge.
Putney Heath - weaving
Twickenham - jumped, galloped, splashed
Wandsworth - pirate ships
This week the Bowling field mornings have energetically begun with some bold and brilliant constructions using lots of loose parts. With logs, planks, sticks, tyres, pipe cladding, and nets, children of all ages have been highly involved in making obstacle courses, pirate ships, houses and homes, garages, and shops!
Wimbledon - More about me
Chiswick - NATIONAL TEDDY BEAR DAY
Fulham - Stories of mermaids
Morden - On a search for Spider Webs!
Putney Heath - Terrific Teeth
Twickenham - celebrations, adventures and fun!
Earlier in the week, we had a great opportunity for lots of adventures down the River Crane. Our new forest school friends enjoyed their first ever dip in the shallows, carefully splashing and exploring in their brand-new waterproofs and wellies. We had started to notice that some of the trees and berries had begun to change as summer draws to a close.
Wandsworth - Shadow theatre
Wimbledon - All about me
Chiswick - Leaf, little leaf
Fulham - Beginning of term at Fulham
This week was rather short but super exciting! We welcomed back our Little Forest Folk-ers that have been exploring the world on holiday and we welcomed some new children coming for the first time to our nursery. Our team at Fulham is so happy to see everyone again and delighted with the new starters!
Morden - Kings and Queens of Cardboard Castle!
Putney Heath - Every New Friend is a New Adventure
Twickenham - The forest café
A few of our Little Forest Folk-ers also went on a bear hunt to explore the forest which was still so new for some of our starting children, swishing through the long grass and pretending to splash in our river. It was a great way to take a journey around our site as well as retelling a much-loved story.
