Leaf, little leaf 🍂
It’s been a short but impactful week at Chiswick, we’ve said a humungous hello to our wonderful new adventurers, who have taken to our forest routine brilliantly and have spent the week exploring together. We also said a very special hello to our new Educational Lead, Eleni! Welcome to the team!
With so many new adventurers the tepee has made a massive comeback, providing a luxurious and spacious retreat for our little ones.
The start of the new term has also delivered us a sea of green on the forest floor. The leaves in the garden have started to fall and, although the start of autumn looms, it has been so much fun running through them, using leaves as kindling in our mud kitchen fires and throwing them up like crunchy confetti!
The children also used their incredible innovation to build a bird’s nest in the green leaves. They collected feathers and stones to add to their nests. The forest was a buzz with different kinds of bird song!
Our painting station has provided fun experiments for our adventures, with mixing, colouring, and creating shapes. Our educators drew stencils for the children to practice colouring in the lines and our older Forest Folk-ers even created flower stencils and designs to paint.
We have an exciting return to the allotment coming soon. Apple picking and juicing awaits!
We wish you a wonderful weekend and will see you on Monday for a WHOLE week of fun!
Joke of the week:
What do you give a sick bird?
