Wimbledon are feeling very festive this week and have been creating lots of decorations for our tree.
Chiswick - Wooden Cookie Baubles!
What a chilly start to December in the forest, with the winter breeze greeting our faces and making our Little Forest Folk-ers' cheeks pink and rosy in the cold winter air. Our frosty week was filled with much creativity and fun. We had lots of magical Christmas-themed activities for everyone to enjoy!
Fulham - Festive Season in the Fulham Forest!
Morden - Christmas Trees
Putney Heath - 'The Colour Monster'
Twickenham - Everyone Meet Ruby!
This week in the forest, we wore our mathematical hats to observe the forest in a different way. We looked around the forest to spot different shapes and patterns. We also put our counting skills to the test. First, we explored sizes by searching the forest floor for the biggest and smallest leaves.
Wandsworth - "Tio de Nadal"
Wimbledon - Hammering and Mud Play!
Chiswick - Chiswick's Culinary Creations!
Fulham - National Tree Week!
Morden - "Ahh, smells like Christmas!"
Putney Heath - Impromptu Dance Parties!
Twickenham - Winter is Finally Here!
Wandsworth - Winter is Coming!
There's been a definitive chill across the camp this week. Regardless, we’re deeply pleased to say that it seems to have had little effect on the children's spirits. The wooden platforms took center stage one afternoon as the children played a great game of 'The Floor is Lava.’ With our educators, Sam and Simon, conducting the game, the children went into a state of euphoria.
Wimbledon - Ice Ice Baby!
Chiswick - Forest Cafe & Railway Adventures!
We've had a wonderful week in the Chiswick forest!
We had an exciting shop and cafe set up in the forest this week, where all our Little Forest Folk-ers had the opportunity to practise role playing - with some taking on the job of shop workers, whilst others were customers, stopping by to spend their imaginary money on leafy salads & very wooden hotdogs!
Fulham - The Very Hungry Caterpillar
Morden - Rocket ships & Bug Hotels
Putney Heath - Alphabet Adventures and Forest Gratitude
Twickenham - Wild Things & Dinosaurs
Our forest has come to life with the children going on adventures with colourful characters from our favourite books. At the beginning of the week, we had a visit from a gang of crayons who were up in arms about their predicament of not being able to take part in colourful activities. So, our little adventurers decided to ask for their help in making the forest look like a rainbow fell from the sky and splashed its magnificent colours all over the forest.
