Happy holidays from the heart of the woods! This week, our Little Forest Folk-ers embarked on a journey of learning and creativity, exploring the different cultural holidays celebrated around the world.
In the spirit of the season, the little ones delved into the traditions of Christmas and Hanukkah. They crafted enchanting winter scenes, using fabrics and an array of craft supplies. With tiny hands at work, they also fashioned menorahs, counting the eight candles and discovering the miracle story behind each flame.
A highlight of our week has been the quiet corner, a sanctuary of sorts for our young explorers. Here, they've embraced sensory activities, from calming breathing cards to the story of The Colour Monster. This space has become a haven for developing emotional literacy and self-regulation skills, fostering a sense of tranquillity amidst the bustling forest life.
As we wrap up this week of festive exploration, we're grateful for the opportunity to nurture not just the minds but also the hearts of our little adventurers. May the warmth of these shared experiences continue to kindle the spirit of joy and learning in each child.
Wishing you and your families a cosy and joyful holiday season!
