Wimbledon are feeling very festive this week and have been creating lots of decorations for our tree.

We enjoyed a wonderful activity with Poppy where we added glue to pinecones before adding glitter and spices to make them look & smell amazing! Our little explorers really enjoyed this and were very happy and proud to ‘make the tree smell lovely’! Carla ran another activity where we used a variety of different pens to create wooden tree decorations. Our little artists added lots of different patterns and pictures to these and were so proud to put their own touch to their tree.

We also helped to save a Queen Bee! We noticed that it was very wet on the meadow, so Carrie kindly picked it up to allow it to dry out. The children were very quiet and considerate whilst watching it dry, interested and commenting on all of its features. We then fed it some sugar water to give it more energy before watching it fly off back to its friends and family.
