This week has been busy. With great weather on offer the opportunities for exploration continued to grow! Much like the flora in and around our base camp.
Chiswick - A World Of Creativity, Learning and Imagination!
Fulham - Colourful Worm Bubbles!
Morden - Harvesting Our Veggie Garden
This week in the forest, our children jumped into loads of different activities focused on supporting our setting and developing our learning space. We were practicing our tool use with Vicky to add more elements to our water play wall, by drilling holes in bamboo pipes and screwing them onto the wooden chalice.
Putney Heath - "A New Camp Was Born!"
Twickenham - 'Tomato Tales and Seed Secrets'
Wandsworth - Exploring the Common!
Another splendid week passes. Paradise continues to be an idyllic spot for the children to sculpt clay and race about. The mud kitchen was splodgy and bustling as the "cupcakes" came in and out of the oven! We connected an elaborate number of white strings to make a gigantic spider-web for the children to play in. They certainly took delight in this as they untangled and pushed through the strings to escape it!
Wimbledon - A Colourful Forest!
Another brilliant week at Wimbledon! We have had a mixture of new and older children coming as holiday campers, and it means it’s a great excuse for our current children to show off their amazing site. It is so lovely to see the pride they take in our space and how much our new children love to explore it.
Chiswick - The Circus!
Fulham - Tiger Tent!
Hello everyone! Where is our heatwave? After all the reports of global warming and extreme heat in the rest of Europe, Fulham has felt like Autumn already. On Wednesday we braved the torrential rain, sheltering at times in our ‘Tiger Tent’ for stories and songs. Although the children in our ever-popular mud kitchen enjoyed the extra water to create their potions and pies.
Morden - From Pond Making to Building Electric Hammers!
Mixed weather in the forest has given us the opportunity to enjoy a range of different activities. As we have a range of ages this week, we have had creative and imaginative ideas inspiring child-led activities! From pond making, pirate adventures, self-portraits and building electric hammers. We have not been short of ideas!
