Twickenham - 'Tomato Tales and Seed Secrets'

Our days in the forest have been filled with sunshine, rain, and endless joy.

We were blessed with a delightful day starting with the sun gloriously illuminating our surroundings.

We kicked off our adventures with Tomato Tales and Seed Secrets. Our tiny green thumbs got to work planting tomatoes while discovering the essential ingredients for seed growth - water, sunlight, and air. Who would have thought that tomatoes had such a secret recipe for success? We delved into fact books, unlocking the mysteries of plant growth and engaging in lively discussions about the fascinating life cycles of trees and plants. Nature, you're full of surprises!

Walk into vertical painting extravaganza, prepare to be amazed as our forest artists took their talents to new heights - quite literally! Armed with an old bed sheet and some tall tree branches, we embarked on a painting adventure like no other. With muscles flexed and giggles galore, we unleashed our creativity with bold up and down strokes, whimsical circle movements, and zigzag and wavy lines that danced across the canvas. Move over, Picasso - our forest painters are taking the art world by storm!

Oh, what a wet and wild summer's day it was! Rainy day shenanigans and mud kitchen mayhem. But did we let the rain dampen our spirits? Absolutely not! We embraced the muddy puddles with gusto, splashing and frolicking all day long. And the best part? Our mud kitchen never ran out of water! Our little chefs whipped up the most mouthwatering dishes using sticks and spoons, transforming flour and water into a delectable feast fit for woodland royalty. Bon appétit, Mother Nature!

At the craft table, we had mark making magic and letter adventures. Our Little Forest Folk-ers unleashed their imaginations, creating marvellous creatures from rice, fusilli pasta, clay, and sticks. With rolling pins as their trusty tools, they moulded clay into a big, scary bear that seemed to stare right into our souls. But fear not, for we also crafted little clay snails that were much friendlier and brought smiles to our faces. Alongside our artistic endeavours, we honed our letter writing and matching skills, embarking on exciting journeys of literacy and creativity.

Whittling Wonders and Mallet Mayhem: Our tool enthusiasts unleashed their inner carpenters as they dabbled in the captivating world of whittling and wooden carvings. Hammers swung, chips flew, and wooden masterpieces began to take shape. The hammer, still reigning as the ultimate favourite forest school activity, proved that it could create magic with every strike. We even dared to dream big and tried our hand at making a wooden mallet. Watch out, woodworking world - Fluffy Forest Nursery is on the rise!

Swingin' High and Stencil Showdown. Our trusty swing became the gateway to the sky, as we took turns soaring through the air with laughter and joy. But fear not, our feet soon touched the ground where we embraced the magic of stencils. With steady hands and wild imaginations, we created enchanting pictures of our favourite forest animals, bringing them to life with every stroke.

We hope it brought giggles, smiles, and a touch of forest magic to your day. Until our next adventure, keep exploring, laughing, and growing with us in the whimsical world of our beloved forest nursery! Wishing you a week filled with joy, nature's beauty, and boundless imagination!

With muddy hugs and giggles,
