It’s a time of change in the forest; veteran Forest Folk are starting to graduate nursery ready for big school! It’s always sad to see them go, especially those that we have watched grow for so many years, but it’s so exciting to see them so well prepared and excited for their next steps.
Fulham - The things you can do with a pallet!
Morden - All Aboard!
We have a huge love for transport-based play in our Morden forest! A small group of children sat down with practitioner Teo and a pen and paper, to plan out a design for a train, counting how many wheels we’d need, how many carriages, and other things that we’d need, like “an engine” and “big windows” and “a driver!”.
Putney Heath - Terrific tool work
Twickenham - large puddles
Wandsworth - penultimate week
Wimbledon - See how our forest grows!
Chiswick - It’s not goodbye, it’s “see you soon!”
This week has shown us all kinds of weather, making our adventures question where summer has gone. June came and went in a blink, and we have celebrated the new month by talking about who’s birthday is coming up, and how some of our Little Forest Folk-ers are leaving us for the amazing adventures of big school in the next few weeks.
Fulham - Sounds and colours galore
Morden - Flowers and Football!!
It’s been so much fun to watch how our new forest grows and changes as our ideas develop! The children really enjoyed exploring around our ‘forest maze’ earlier this week; we had long branches laid out in a pattern to make a winding path in a square shape, with flour sprinkled on the paths to guide us as we walked.
Putney Heath - Feathers, Bugs and Brilliance
Twickenham - Redecorating camp!
Wandsworth - Little Earth Dragons
Wimbledon - Team work makes the dream work!
Chiswick - Educators don’t live in the forest?

Fulham - dragon dens, hotels and speedy cars!
Morden - Hop, Skip and Jump!
