We’ve been bursting with excitement and now that it’s the Queen’s birthday and the official announcement day, we are absolutely delighted to finally share with you the news that Little Forest Folk has been given the royal seal of approval.
Following our being selected by Tatler as being one of the finest nurseries in the nation last month, we are now delighted to share with you an article written about Little Forest Folk by a journalist who visited us in our Wimbledon setting a few weeks ago.
Well, this weekend was the long awaited Nursery World Awards! It was a fabulous event and we were delighted to be recognised in such a large industry such as the early years to be one of the industry leaders.
‘Wouldn’t we all secretly like to be Little Forest Folk?' We are incredibly excited and proud to be included once again in the prestigious annual Tatler Nurseries Guide.
This first week of holiday camp has been an absolute blast! So lovely to see some returning children and siblings of our regular friends come to join us for fun and discoveries.
The river Crane had areas this week where shoals of fish gathered to enjoy the warmth of the sun. Our children have loved visiting the river from the bridge or the banks to observe them.
Walking into our forest site you think that is enough of a spectacle of what nature has to offer but venture further into the forest and you will be greeted with an abundance of amazing sights, sounds and smells from the great outdoors!
We can’t believe that it’s the middle of July already and that we had to say goodbye to some of our friends who are leaving us to start a new adventure at big school.
There has been a theme of celebration this week in our forest. With two children from both camps having celebrated birthdays over the weekend and a child turning three on Monday- the mud kitchens in both bubbles were alive with the sounds of chefs rustling up cakes.
What a fantastic week! The red team has been wowing us with their renditions of the Days of the Week song and they are also continuing to get better and better at the Months of the Year song too!
Wowsers! What a scorcher this week! We adapted our set ups to inspire and encourage the children’s interest in the shadier spots of our forest wherever possible with paints and drawing, construction and balancing games.
This week in the forest the children have started to get stuck into some project work exploring scientific ideas and developing literacy skills that defy the short few years on the planet they have had!
