We’ve been bursting with excitement and now that it’s the Queen’s birthday and the official announcement day, we are absolutely delighted to finally share with you the news that Little Forest Folk has been given the royal seal of approval.
Following our being selected by Tatler as being one of the finest nurseries in the nation last month, we are now delighted to share with you an article written about Little Forest Folk by a journalist who visited us in our Wimbledon setting a few weeks ago.
Well, this weekend was the long awaited Nursery World Awards! It was a fabulous event and we were delighted to be recognised in such a large industry such as the early years to be one of the industry leaders.
‘Wouldn’t we all secretly like to be Little Forest Folk?' We are incredibly excited and proud to be included once again in the prestigious annual Tatler Nurseries Guide.
The meadow glistened in the morning frost, the trees swayed with their last few leaves and the puddles have grown from the showers. The forest is constantly showing us something new, and this week has been no exception!
What a half term it’s been! It has been a true delight to welcome back some familiar faces to the forest for holiday camps, along with some new friends too!
The children in the forest this week have fully embraced the Autumnal weather. We have had some torrential rain, and gusts of winds that have made for an exhilarating experience.
It’s been holiday camp this week, and we have joyfully welcomed back children who left in August as well as children new to the forest experience, and boy have we all had a great time!
As the mornings are now light and the evenings are noticeably darker, our spirits remain bright, unlike the dark, crisp autumnal leaves that lay on the ground.
No matter what the weather, at Wimbledon we know how to make the best out of any situation! We have had heavy rain downpours, blustery winds and hail this week, but it hasn’t stop us from having lots of fun!
Time is flying so quickly; we cannot believe it’s the weekend already! What an array of weather we have had again as well. From 17 degrees and glorious sunshine, to an incredibly wet but fun-filled Wednesday.
The first full day of rain this season fell upon our hood clad heads this week, but drips, puddles and rivers make it just as fun as any other day, if not more so!
We have had a very busy week in the forest! Our ‘Bunny’ and ‘Fox’ groups have been enjoying the very mixed autumnal weather and making the most of it in every way possible!
The weather has been playing lots of tricks with us this week. We had misty mornings, midday showers and sun-filled afternoons, sometimes all in one day!
This week at Fulham, the children have really enjoyed stopping by the adventure playground before getting to our site. It’s a chance to drop backpacks off and have a go at balancing on the logs or look for bugs and other creepy crawlies!
Linn supported the children to make banana chocolate cake that was also gluten free and vegan. The children enjoyed working in small groups to measure ingredients, mash bananas and observe the changes that occurred in the mixing bowl as the ingredients were stirred together.
This week has been full of wet puddles and showery downpours. The grey skies have been hovering over us all week, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun!
