We’ve been bursting with excitement and now that it’s the Queen’s birthday and the official announcement day, we are absolutely delighted to finally share with you the news that Little Forest Folk has been given the royal seal of approval.
Following our being selected by Tatler as being one of the finest nurseries in the nation last month, we are now delighted to share with you an article written about Little Forest Folk by a journalist who visited us in our Wimbledon setting a few weeks ago.
Well, this weekend was the long awaited Nursery World Awards! It was a fabulous event and we were delighted to be recognised in such a large industry such as the early years to be one of the industry leaders.
‘Wouldn’t we all secretly like to be Little Forest Folk?' We are incredibly excited and proud to be included once again in the prestigious annual Tatler Nurseries Guide.
It has been such a joy to see wonderful little familiar faces this week in the forest. We have missed those smiles and brilliant imaginations and there has been lots of laughter bounding across both camps.
The weather didn’t ruin any of our plans this week. Even though the rain has been on and off it has only meant that we have had more chance to jump in muddy puddles and catch raindrops on our tongues.
In these unprecedented times, we are currently no longer able to offer the majority of our children their usual outdoor, nature and creativity immersed learning environments.
We have been greeted with shimmers of sunshine this week, giving us the luxury of hanging our jackets up with our backpacks, ready to explore all the forest has to offer us while our high-vis vests blow like capes in the wind!
This week in the forest the children have explored their imaginations in wonderful ways. They have used their amazing building skills to create their own incredible role-play props and resources.
We have had fewer numbers in the forest this week and have been missing some familiar faces, as have the children! Nevertheless, the forest has been filled with bubbling laughter and bright smiles all round, as the children have immersed themselves in imaginative play together.
There has been a lot of excitement in the forest this week leading up to World Book Day on Thursday, where we saw some brilliant costumes and characters which brightened up the rainy day.
