With a week that started with the children playing with a wooden thunder drum, ended with us actually experiencing real (and very loud) thunder. One of our older holiday camp children put the theory out that “maybe our thunder drum woke the real thunder up?”

We have enjoyed welcoming back some of our alumni children, who have slotted straight back in to the forest lifestyle.

It has been a short week, as we approach the long Jubilee weekend. We have had chats around the log circle at meal times about what the queen will be doing to celebrate. “Maybe she’ll drink some wine?” One of the holiday camp children suggested.

As the forest sun sets on another week, we wish all of our families a happy and merry bank holiday weekend.
