With the rising temperatures the children have been drawn towards our water play set ups. This week we suspended some of our play drain pipes in the trees to create a waterfall effect as the children poured water down the pipes! The children were fascinated by the rush of water each time they emptied their containers into the drainpipes. This led to some messy mud kitchen fun and our water tubs soon became full of hay and other natural resources to make a delicious soup. Some of the children had been searching for fairies in the forest earlier that morning so it was decided the soup would be for our forest fairy friends! The children then decided to imaginatively play fairies, flying around the forest visiting their little houses which we made by tying up some hula hoops in the trees. It was decided by the children that if the hoop would spin it meant that a fairy was present!
