Morden - Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

We had a brilliant time in the forest this week! We had lots of fun halloween activities for the children to explore and experiment with.

One of our favourites has been a brilliant sensory activity - children were invited to make their own pumpkins out of playdough with Maria. Using orange playdough and sunflower seeds they made the most scary pumpkins! It was such a magical moment watching them give roles to each pumpkin’s playdough face!

Later in the week - the children found a spider web on some paper but some of the pieces were missing! Charlotte helped them to paint the lines between the main part of the spider web. Using black paint, they made a perfect spider web! Their fine motor skills were tested and their teamwork eased to make sure that everyone had a turn to add to their collaboration!

Another one of our favourites was when Migs brought some magic into the forest with some potion making🧪 Our little sorcerers mixed some salt, vinegar and different coloured waters to make their own individual magic potions. The children were still talking about these potions in the evening, discussing what colours they had created “my potion was red” “ and mine was orange and yours was yellow”.

What a wonderfully spooky week, we hope you all have a lovely weekend!
