This week at the Morden Little Forest Folk site we have had a week of creating, building & ‘baking’.
A popular activity this week has been creating our own faces using playdough & natural resources found around us in the forest.
Mirrors were used to identify features and shapes on our faces and many took the opportunity to create their own faces or their mum's. Meanwhile some took a different approach and used the dough to design and create pizzas using acorns, leaves & other forest floor treats as toppings. Tasty!
It was so wonderful to see the little ones using their imaginations and fine motor skills to put their creations together, as well as experimenting with the clay by rolling 'worms', shaping circle balls and smashing!
