We have had a fun filled and action-packed week here at Putney Heath of which we are excited to share with you.
The recent rainfall has created the perfect humidity in the forest for a lot of mushrooms to grow and the children have enjoyed observing them on our walks in and out of the forest, trying to spot as many different types as they can. The children remembered and respected our no picking and no licking rule very well and were able to touch some Jelly Ear mushrooms with the supervision of an educator. This has been an amazing highlight of our week!
On camp, the children have been busy role playing as firefighters, dinosaurs, pirates, and whales as they set on their journeys and quests to complete their missions, whether that was putting the fire out or finding the treasure!
Our last highlight of the week was our creative crown making which we made in honour of Queen Elizabeth II. The children used our handmade stamps and paint bushes to decorate their different coloured crowns and wore them with pride around the forest.
We hope you all have a restful weekend, and we will see you on Tuesday for more adventures in the forest!
