It’s been another fantastic week in the forest with all our adventurers & they have gotten up to all sorts of fun, which we are excited to share with you all.
Our week started off with lots of role play involving different characters and our performers were very eager to extend these roles through face paint, we had mermaids, fairies, geckos and ladybirds whizzing around the forest, spreading all their magic. Role play and the theatrics are a massive part of the children’s play at Little Forest Folk and it’s always a blast watching them take on all these different roles in any way they can
To carry on spreading the Magic, our educator Robyn organised a fantastic fairy rings activity using the acorns that our big, beautiful Oak tree had left us on the ground. The children sat behind our rainbow ribbons and watched as Robyn used a knife to cut the acorns into shape, and one by one they got to pop out the insides to put away for the squirrels to have. Once they had done this, they were able to personalise them with their own initials. The children were full of pride and excitement for their rings, and they loved showing them off to everyone throughout the rest of the day.
Cooking has also been a massive part of our routines recently and our adventurers were more than excited to get the chance to flip some banana and cinnamon pancakes with Charlotte. They all did so well and followed the safety rules very carefully, but most importantly they had a tremendous time doing it and even more so when they got to eat them alongside their afternoon snack!
This week has been very lovely, and we look forward to all we can fill our days with next week!
We hope you all have a lovely weekend
