It’s been a freezing week in the forest ❄️ The adventurers have enjoyed finding and smashing ice! They have loved the crunchy ground! ‘Listen to this, it’s icy, it’s crunchy!’
We have had lots of activities this week to keep the children active and cosy!
We have been using our fire circle and talking about how to be safe around fire 🔥 as well as what we can use it for! Cooking to come!
Christmas crafts have been popular! We have been keeping our fingers busy making Christmas cards, making Christmas decorations from recycled cardboard, paint and leaves 🍁!
Today we are making some 3D Christmas trees to have as decorations in our nursery!
We have built Santas sleigh with wooden blocks in the forest! We had children run around pretending to be Santas reindeer! ‘Dasher, Dancer, Vixen and Comet!’
The children enjoyed a ‘Christmas dinner’ with our forest bears. The main course was a ‘big turkey pie!’ Made from sticks, leaves and water!
Christmas songs have been super popular and had everyone involved singing and dancing! A favourite has been little donkey! & Jingle bells of course!
We’re looking forward to more winter activities, using our fire and baking some treats on it!
