Morden - 'Blue is Glue'

Holiday Camps in the crunchy leaves!

To kick off our holiday camp fun, we had a lovely group of Little Forest Folk-ers enjoy pancakes on the fire! Maria led a fire circle, where the children helped to mix the pancake batter, and watched as the colours became darker, and the batter was cooked enough to flip! While they were cooking, the children took turns to sing each other songs in a little circle-time talent show! It was so lovely to see all the children perform for each other and take pride in their songs!

One of our favourite activities this week was called ‘Blue is Glue’ where the children were able to use PVA glue independently, as it was mixed with blue paint and was easy to see where it was placed. The children filled a circle shape with the blue glue, and used seeds to make funny faces, prompting fine motor skills, and imagination!

Another one of our favourite activities this week was Letter Fishing! The children stood on our little ‘dock’ with their ‘fishing rods’ that they had made from magnets, string and strong sticks. At the bottom of the dock, we had magnet letters ready for the children to fish out and identify the sounds, as well as creating a great imaginative game!

A week full of fun, we can’t wait to see what’s in store next week!
