Fulham - Toucan Nests and Joyful Planes

It has been a wonderful week in the forest. Our Little Forest Folk-ers have been super busy playing with the holiday campers and exploring the gardens on our adventure walks.

In the mud kitchen this week, the children made incredible mud balls and placed them into trays to put in the oven to make delicious cupcakes! They also made tasty smoothies but these were unbelievably expensive! Some were 99 pounds, some 100 pounds! Luckily, we had special cardboard that would transform into notes once the children wrote the numbers.

The children also enjoyed collecting natural materials to make a nest for a toucan, carefully placing straw, feathers and twigs, one on top of the other 🪹.

Playing with clay was another fantastic way to promote the children’s creativity. They made beautiful sculptures and decorated them with pine needles and sticks.

Making paper planes was a favourite this week! The children were so meticulous in following the instructions to make their own paper planes. They were decorated with colourful crepe paper and as they threw the planes in the air, the stripes of colours looked like trails of joy in the sky!

Have a fantastic weekend!
