Chiswick - Euros, Kites, Flower Shops and World Owl Day!

Happy August lovely families! Here at Chiswick, we have had a JAM-packed week of activities and fun.

To kick start our Monday we celebrated the fabulous win of our Women’s Football team. With a huge colourful net as our goal, our little footballers aimed better than ever scoring goal after goal after goal.

Let’s go fly a kite! Embracing their inner Mary Poppins, our adventurers created kites using recycled newspapers, sticks and string. We flew them in circles in our meadow, watching as the wind pushed our kites higher and higher!

Welcome to Chiswick’s flower shop! Inspired by our Garden’s flower shop, we recreated our own. Chrysanthemums and Carnations littered our camp, adding pops of colour in every area. Chiswick’s Little Forest Folk-ers turned florists and charged their educators £5 a bunch!

Friday was World Owl Day and to celebrate our forest friends we recreated owls using sticks and chalkboards. We used wax rubbings of leaves to give their wings texture.

Joke of the week:
What do you call a magical owl?
