Fulham - Frisbees & Pirate Ships

Our week in the Fulham forest started off with a great adventure on Monday morning to the adventure playground where we practiced our climbing and balancing. The children really enjoyed using different strategies to get across all the obstacles; crawling across on their hands and knees and walking across whilst balancing, either independently or with the support of one of the educators, were a couple of the suggestions that the children thought of.

We’ve enjoyed some mark making this week too in the sand, using our fingers to draw and create some really cool artwork.

A great game was also created in camp where the children could practise throwing; using a frisbee the children got to take turns attempting to throw the frisbee. To aid their aiming skills by having a specific spot to try and hit, a stick target was set up.

Our children’s imagination and creativity are always impressive and it’s been great watching as they use planks and logs to create and make games of their choosing such as: creating a cool seesaw which they could then use to play on!

Towards the end of the week we created a pirate ship on camp which allowed the children’s imagination and role play to evolve! They enjoyed creating little games from this like pretending to be sharks in the water whilst their peers walked the plank! 🏴‍☠️🦈

What a fun packed week Fulham has had, and we will enjoy seeing what adventures all our Little Forest Folk-ers get up to next week.
