A Frosty Fulham Palace
So as another week closes in the Fulham forest it’s been an eventful and busy week. We started the week really focusing on number work and spent some time in the creative area practising writing our numbers. The older children even began to use the wooden numbers, creating little sums and then attempting to work them out.
As the frosty weather has now returned, we have used this to our advantage and created some awesome physical activities and games for the children to take part in to keep active and warm. The children really enjoyed the variety of obstacle courses set up, challenging themselves to be able to complete them. Our climbing crate wall & our group relay race game were also very popular this week, as well as using the speaker in the forest to dance and move around.
It’s been great having Joe back with us in the forest this week as the children really enjoy engaging in a singsong with him and the musical instruments he brings along.
Group picture card games are always great fun and a good way to promote turn taking and working together. The children have really enjoyed a dog and bone picture card game brought into the forest this week, being able to match the number of dog bones correctly with the number of spots on the dog; finding all the pairs that fit together and doing an amazing job at it too!
We hope you all have a wonderful, restful weekend and can’t wait for more adventures next week!
