Chiswick - Volcanoes, Tie Dye, Pom Poms and Phone Calls

Chiswick’s adventurers got their ‘knit on’ this week as we tackled weaving pom poms! Our forest was littered with little fluffy balls of joy in an array of colours.

We’ve been experimenting lots this week, we first experimented with colour theory with a big tie dye expedition. Our Little Forest Folk-ers practiced making spirals, lines and circles in their recycled fabric and t-shirts before applying gorgeous technicolour to their designs!

Science experiments saw to it that our forest had an erupting volcano in its midst. Measuring and mixing bicarbonate of soda and vinegar together in a homemade papier-mâché mountain we waited for it to go BOOOM!!

Ring ring… ring ring… with technology as advanced as it is now, our adventurers pottered round our camp phoning one another on make-shift mirror phones. A couple of us even upgraded our calls to FaceTime!

Joke of the week: Why are volcanoes always invited to parties?

They are such a blast 💥
